Hey Jeff!

I don't know about Luca's family, but Teo's, Shaun's and Thoma's were apparently starting off for their family week today for eight days, so we are likely not to hear a lot from these families. But maybe from the leaders?

I did speak to Teo and his Colombian mom and they are fine, but Teo mentionned they are not accessing the computer at all as of yet.

Hope you guys are having some fun here too!

Hola Todos!
This is the leaders Nick and Andre's first addition to Luca's Mom's Vicarious Colombian Adventure blog. (Late perhaps, but there nonetheless.)
The second phase of the intercambio is going swimmingly well. After a fantastic welcome party, everyone, toting our new mochilas and proudly wearing our naranja CISV rain jackets, the Canadian delegation has been treated to a smorgasborg for the senses. First, the sights have been fantastic as Bogota is surrounded by mountains that make the Gatineau hills look like buttes. Colombian hospitality makes it so all of us will need to increase our pant sizes by a few inches by the time we come home. The music we hear (when we are not listening to our ipods) is as varied as it is beautiful and Andre assures us that the Canadians will all get a taste of Colombian dancing. Our friends have been very welcoming and eager for us to experience as much of the culture as is possible in the short time we have. A month is far too short a time to spend amongst such admirable and excellent hosts.
Until we write again, these are the fearless leaders singing off.
Nick and Andre xoxo
